Seven women were injured in a crash in Wirral.
On Sunday, May, 28 it was reported that a grey Audi A1 and a white Fiat 500 had been involved in a collision on Coastal Drive in New Brighton. There were seven people inside the cars and three women, aged 18, 23, and 24, sustained serious injuries and remain in hospital in a stable condition. Police shared details of the incident today.
One of the drivers, a 22-year-old woman from Upton, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs. She has since been released under investigation.

The other four women, aged 22, 26, 22, and 18, sustained minor injuries. Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Sergeant Simon Duffy from the Roads Policing Unit said: “This was a serious collision that has resulted in multiple casualties. We are still establishing the circumstances of what happened, so if anyone has information, please come forward.
“In particular, we are hoping to speak with members of the public who were at the scene to help in the immediate aftermath of the collision. Also, if you were travelling past the area at this time and captured the incident on dashcam, please let us know.”
