Six Georgia Bulldogs have accepted invitations to play in the 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl on Feb. 3 at 1:00 p.m. ET in Mobile, Alabama. The Senior Bowl is the top predraft scrimmage for NFL draft scouts and is part of a busy predraft calendar.
NFL teams love players that have been developed in the Georgia football program. The Bulldogs have had a college football best 25 players drafted over the past two NFL drafts. The Dawgs could have 10 or more players drafted again in 2024. The NFL draft decision deadline has past and now the numerous Georgia Bulldogs that are hoping to get drafted are preparing for the draft, which will be held in Detroit from April 25-27.
What Georgia Bulldogs have accepted invitations to participate in the Senior Bowl?
Long snapper William Mote
NFL mock draft projection: Undrafted
No longer snappers were selected in the 2023 NFL draft, so we project the position, including Georgia’s William Mote, will be overlooked again in 2024.
Stats: 14 games played
Safety Javon Bullard
NFL mock draft projection: No. 86 pick
Javon Bullard is a great tackler that could excel as a safety or nickel cornerback in the NFL. Bullard is a big reason why Georgia allowed only 175.4 passing yards per game in 2023 (No. 9 in the nation).
Stats: 56 tackles, two interceptions, and five pass deflections
Wide receiver Marcus Rosmey-Jacksaint
NFL mock draft projection: Late round pick
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint did not put up massive numbers during his career at Georgia. However, NFL teams will really value his ability win contested catches. Rosemy-Jacksaint is an excellent blocker and has a great chance to prove himself at the Senior Bowl.
Stats: 34 passes for 535 yards and four touchdowns
Wide receiver Ladd McConkey
NFL mock draft projection: No. 32 overall pick
Shifty Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey was the Dawgs’ No. 1 wide receiver when healthy in 2023. If McConkey shows he is fully healthy at the NFL combine, then the slick route-runner could easily be a late first round pick.
Stats: 30 receptions for 478 receiving yards and two touchdowns
Center Sedrick Van Pran
NFL mock draft projection: No. 98 overall pick (late third-round)
Van Pran is a leader and everything NFL teams are looking for in a center. However, the center position has been devalued some over the years, so it is unlikely that he’ll end up as a first round selection.
Stats: 14 games played
Defensive back Tykee Smith
NFL mock draft projection: No. 97 overall pick (late third-round)
NFL teams will covet Tykee Smith’s ability to tackle and force turnover. Smith may not be the best player in coverage, but he is a versatile defender and could shift back into the safety position in the NFL after playing STAR at Georgia.
Stats: 70 tackles, four interceptions, and two sacks
Running back Daijun Edwards
NFL mock draft projection: Late round pick
Daijun Edwards was Georgia’s leading rusher in 2023. Edwards runs with a shifty style and always seems to churn out yardage against defenses. The 5-foot-10, 200-pound running back is a talented receiver and was Georgia’s leading pass catcher out of the backfield last season.
Stats: 881 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns
