A serving Met Police officer will appear in court charged with sexual assault.
Sergeant Robert Bradley, attached to Specialist Operations, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court later Wednesday.
The charge relates to an incident that is alleged to have taken place while the officer was off duty in January 2023, involving a woman known to him.
He was charged via postal charge requisition in August 2023. The officer is on restricted duties.
The Met said its Directorate of Professional Standards, which investigates complaints against officers, was aware of the case.
