Lecce are said to be 'very close' to signing Celtic youngster Filip Skorb.

The Serie A side are reportedly on the verge of signing the 18-year-old Polish striker, who also has interest from Sturm Graz.

Journalist Lorenzo Lepore said: "Lecce are very close to concluding a deal for Filip Skorb from Celtic.

"Sturm Graz are also in the race to sign the striker, who has represented Poland at U19 level."

Skorb came through the Celtic academy before hitting six goals in 26 Lowland League appearances for the B team last season.

Losing another youngster would be a blow to the club, far from immune to the exodus of young players from Scotland to clubs in England or Europe.

Erskine Rennie, a 16-year-old winger, looks set to head to Fulham, with a deal reported to be in place.

And that comes days after highly-rated young centre-back Dara Jikiemi opted, as expected, to leave Celtic for Liverpool.
