Last month an independent United Kingdom-based panel, Sports Resolutions, ruled in favor of the DP World Tour to be able to fine and suspend players who competed in LIV Golf events without permission.
On Thursday, the tour released a statement that 16 of the 17 players have paid their £100,000 fines, “which were imposed for serious breaches of the Tour’s Conflicting Tournament Regulation last June,” after players were sanctioned for teeing it up in the inaugural LIV Golf event in London without a conflicting event exemption from the tour.
