Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg says it's 'too early' to know what will happen next season as he looks to continue his development.
The Dutchman made the move to Merseyside in 2019 but his first-team minutes have been limited given the talent ahead of him. He has just spent a season-and-a-half on loan with Championship side Preston North End, initially joining them in February 2021.
Now he's returned to Liverpool and is part of the 37-man squad currently out in the Far East for the pre-season tour. He was an unused substitute in the 4-0 defeat to Manchester United earlier this week, but will hope to be afforded some minutes when the Reds take on Crystal Palace on Friday.

Van den Berg admitted it's too early to make any decisions on where his immediate future lies next season and his full focus remains on impressing in the coming weeks before the new campaign.
"I had a little chat with him (Klopp) about the loan last season," he said in an interview with liverpoolfc.com. "But it’s too early for that. With so many players, everyone is trying their best to impress and of course to get fit.
"For me now at the moment, it’s really to enjoy. It’s a great experience to be here. It’s a great experience to be back training with the guys as well, of course the level is outstanding. I’ve missed it. For me personally now, it’s just try to get back and impress everyone and we’ll see what happens."
Van den Berg made 66 appearances in total for Preston during his time with the club and scored two goals and registered one assist in that time. He also played the full 90 minutes against his parent club when the two sides met in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup in October last year.
