LUCKNOW: The wife and son of slain BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai on Saturday said the sentencing of Mukhtar Ansari and his brother Afzal Ansari the Gangsters Act case has reaffirmed their faith in the criminal justice system.
Krishnanand’s wife Alka and son Piyush welcomed the verdict and expressed hope that the court will eventually bring to book those who murdered the then MLA.
“I believe in the judiciary. Rule of gundas, mafia has ended (in the state). Now mafia and goons in the state will either stay in the prison or will end,” Alka Rai said.
