Sensex rises 130 points, Nifty falls below 22,700 amid cooling oil, rising bond yields. What lies ahead?

The Indian stock market remained muted, with Sensex in green and Nifty in red as oil prices eased below $104 per barrel, boosting sentiment, but bond yields soaring to levels not seen since 2002 kept investors on edge.

Sensex gained around 130 points to rise above 72,660 while Nifty 50 lost around 20 points to fall below 22,700, as seen at around 10 am. Broader markets, meanwhile, moved into the green, with Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 indices rising up to 0.7%.
