Advocate Prashant Bhushan has written to the Supreme Court Registry alleging “irregularity” in listing of a case challenging criminal prosecution of lawyers and a journalist who has prepared a report on violence in Tripura under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
Mr. Bhushan referred to Clause 15 of the ‘Overview of the New Scheme for Automatic Listing of Cases’ published in 2017 by the apex court. The clause said that the same Bench hearing the main case would also hear a fresh petition tagged with it by a judicial order.
