The General Secretariat of the Saudi Council of Senior Scholars has hailed the statements of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, during his interview with the US-based The Atlantic magazine.
During the interview, the Crown Prince reiterated that the Kingdom is based on Islam, which in its teachings, it goes back to what was propagated by the Prophet Mohammed, Peace Be Upon Him, and his Rightly-Guided Caliphs.
“His Highness’s statements clarify the firm approach of the Kingdom in following the Holy Quran and the Sunnah without sectarian fanaticism, as well as its firm approach in combating and uprooting extremism and terrorism and tracking down its symbols, be it from al-Qaeda, ISIS, the Brotherhood, or any other extremist and terrorist groups,” said the Council.
The Council commended the Crown Prince’s emphasis that the state is on track toward development according to its cultural and economic concepts, its people, and its history within the framework of Vision 2030.
It also hailed his firm rejection of any interference in the Kingdom's internal affairs, as this matter concerns Saudis only.
The Council affirmed that the Saudi people stand united behind their leadership, which is working day and night to place the Kingdom among the leading countries of the world.
