Senegal will be favourites to to reach the last four when they face Equatorial Guinea in the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals this evening.
They were made to work extremely hard by Cape Verde, who had two players sent-off, in the last 16, before Sadio Mane eventually sent his side on the way to victory.
Having finished the group-stage with two consecutive goalless draws, it would have been a relief for Senegal to find the back of the net again.
Equatorial Guinea have already shown they can thrive on the big stage though. They beat Algeria in the group-stage, and won the penalty shootout against Mali to reach the last eight.
The winner of this match will face Burkina Faso in the semi-finals.
