Senator Tommy Tuberville claimed Alabama voters are fine paying higher gas prices. Then Harry Enten fact-checked him on air: ‘Just making up stuff’

Kaitlan Collins played a clip on CNN’s The Source of CNN correspondent Manu Raju questioning Sen. Tommy Tuberville at the Capitol about the cost of fuel for people in his state. Tuberville, a Republican and the GOP nominee for Alabama governor, acknowledged that gas prices in Alabama are high, but implied the locals are not unhappy about it.

According to Mediaite, he said prices have risen before and that residents will handle it because they understand costs move up and down. Tuberville also said Alabama voters chose President Donald Trump and gave him another chance in office. When Raju asked whether those voters are willing to pay more at the pump, Tuberville answered, “Yeah. Yeah. Sure they are.”
