Mitch McConnell made a striking return to the Senate on Monday, appearing in a wheelchair, looking noticeably thinner and speaking more slowly after 92 days out of public view, prompting Laura Loomer to launch a blistering attack claiming the veteran Republican looked 'brain dead' and was being 'wheeled around like a corpse'.
McConnell's office waited almost a month before revealing that he had fallen at home and later developed mild pneumonia, leaving much of his condition undisclosed.
