Vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance recently engaged with diners in Waite Park, Minnesota, where he expressed his views on Vice President Kamala Harris and the upcoming election. Vance acknowledged Harris' initial popularity as the Democratic presidential candidate but asserted that voters will ultimately reject her liberal record.
Outside Park Diner, Vance characterized Harris as a 'radical' and a 'San Francisco liberal' aiming to impose San Francisco policies nationwide. He emphasized that such policies would not align with the interests of Minnesotans and confidently stated his intention to 'turn Minnesota red.'
Regarding voter turnout, Vance highlighted the importance of mobilizing lower propensity voters to support their cause. He expressed confidence in having sufficient support in Minnesota to secure victory, emphasizing the significance of getting voters to the polls.
Addressing a previous statement by Donald Trump urging Christians to vote, Vance sought to clarify the context, stating that the media had 'totally distorted' Trump's message. He defended Trump's acceptance of individuals evolving in their views and noted that Trump was unconcerned with past criticisms.
When questioned about his prior criticisms of Trump, Vance disclosed that he had not discussed the matter with the former president. He emphasized Trump's openness to individuals changing their perspectives over time.
Inside the diner, Vance was accompanied by his wife, Usha, and two of his children, who were seen enjoying chocolate milk at the counter.
