Selva P Thirumaran wins best U-20 athlete award of region at AAA gala; AFI voted best member

BANGKOK: The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) bagged the best member award and World Junior silver medal winner Selva P Thirumaran was adjudged the best male athlete in the U-20 category as the Asian Athletics Association (AAA) celebrated its golden jubilee in a gala evening that saw a galaxy of former stars in attendance.

AFI president Adille J Sumariwala received the award from AAA president Dahlan Jaman Al Hamad while World Athletics (WA) president Sebastian Coe gave away the winner's prize to Thirumaran.
