Selling Sunset's Maya Vander 'terrified' to have another baby after stillbirth heartache

Selling Sunset star Maya Vander has revealed she is "terrified" of having another baby after her son was tragically stillborn.

Maya, 40, was 38 weeks into her pregnancy when her son, who she named Mason, was tragically stillborn.

And six moths later the US-based estate agent heartbreaking suffered a miscarriage.

Now, Maya has recalled the heartbreaking moment her "world fell apart" when she was given the news doctors couldn't find a heartbeat for her son Mason.

Maya's husband Dave Miller had tested positive for Covid-19 at the time she received the tragic news – after going in for a weekly checkup.

The TV star told The Sun's Fabulous magazine how she went into "survival mode" after receiving the sad news and returning home to pack her bag to deliver her baby.

She revealed: "Three hours after I was told the devastating news, I was holding my sweet little boy Mason in my arms following a vaginal birth. He looked so much like Aiden."

Maya's husband Dave "begged the hospital" to let him in so he could say goodbye to his son.

She added: "Leaving the ward without my baby was the lowest I’ve ever felt."

Maya explained how the report on her son Mason's death "didn't shed any light on what happened" so they went to a placenta specialist.

They were then told the placenta was "smaller than it should have been" and the umbilical cord was "slightly compressed". Sharing her heartache, Maya added: "If only I’d known to go to A&E, I might have my little boy here with me."

Six months after her son's stillbirth, Maya discovered she was having a miscarriage nine weeks into her pregnancy.

Now, the star has been left "terrified" to have another baby.

Maya revealed: "I’d love to have another baby, but I’m now terrified to get pregnant. I feel like there’s something missing from our family."

She shares her shares son Aiden, two, and daughter, Elle, two, with her husband, Dave.

Earlier this year, the star shared her decision to leave Netflix's Selling Sunset in June this year.

She wrote in an Instagram story: "So... I'm very proud of my Selling Sunset family for getting two more seasons and hopefully Emmy nomination.

"I decided not to go on with the show and it was not an easy decision!

"Being part of such a successful hit is absolutely amazing and I am so grateful for!!"

Maya added to Page Six: "I love the show, and it was great, but I’m excited to focus on the Miami real estate market."

Fans of the Netflix show had seen Maya travel across the country to maintain her business and appear on the series.

But, now she is focussing her time in Miami, Florida to spend her time growing her real estate firm, The Maya Vander Group.

Speaking about her new venture on Instagram, Maya wrote: "We are all working hard & pushing everyday. We love and respect our clients, which is SO important in order to be successful in real estate."
