Shoppers fled in terror as two men were stabbed in a fight at the flagship Selfridges store in Oxford Street.

The two men were rushed to hospital where they were treated for multiple stab wounds.

Scotland Yard said two people had been arrested for their role in the fight after police were called at 6.25pm on Friday.

The two men were taken to a central London hospital where their wounds were deemed not-life threatening.

A Met Spokesman said: “Police have been called to a fight in Selfridges, W1 which has resulted in 2 males being treated with stab wounds.

“The males have been taken to a Central London Hospital for treatment, the injuries are not life threatening. Two arrests have been made.”

“The incident at Selfridges was at 6.25pm. Both men at hospital are aged in their 20s. One was arrested, along with a third man who has been taken into custody.”

Last May eight men were arrested after a man was stabbed in the same Selfridges.

Footage of the brawl posted on Twitter showed a man wielding a knife in front of shocked shoppers at the department store.

Another man threw a mannequin onto the floor before two men started fighting.

Witnesses are asked to call 101 for the latest incident and use the reference number CAD 5667/21JAN.
