A fraudster who stole more than £4,000 worth of supermarket goods by scanning them as carrier bags has avoided jail.
Kenneth Hollis started scamming Asda after accidentally selecting carrier bags on the self-scan checkout and hitting the pay option.
When he realised he had walked out of the supermarket without paying for his shopping, he went on a four-month crime spree.
