Selena Gomez was caught in an awkward post and delete moment on Instagram after her latest controversial post.
The Heart Wants What It Wants singer took to the social media app, on which she's the most followed American singer, to share a picture with her friend, adding the caption: "Ice cream chillin'."
The seemingly innocent post sparked fury among her 421million followers who had noticed her wearing a Balenciaga top in the snap.
Taking to the comments, her fans quickly accused her of allegedly "endorsing child exploitation" by wearing an item from the fashion brand.
"So, it seems you're okay with endorsing child exploitation by wearing your Balenciaga sweatshirt," one user commented.
Another added: "Promoting a brand associated with pedophiles, just like Kim K. This is deeply wrong and sad. I thought you were different."
"You, who were once the youngest UNICEF ambassador and have been a strong advocate for children, should not support BALENCIAGA," a third angrily typed.
Meanwhile a fourth put: "I used to think highly of you, but now I see your true malicious nature. Do you know that this brand endorses pedophilia? I am so profoundly disappointed in you."
Balenciaga were said to be seeking crisis management after receiving backlash last year over its unsettling child-bondage ad campaign — which the high-end brand admitted has affected its bottom line.
Reality star Kim Kardashian was said to be "reevaluating" her relationship with the brand, who she had become close to in recent months, following the backlash.
Kim released a statement, saying that she was "disgusted and outraged" by the ad campaign.
"As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period," she wrote in a statement shared on her Twitter account.
"As for my future with Balenciaga, I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with — & the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children."
