Newcastle United return to Premier League action following a two-week international break with a trip to Fulham. The Magpies will be looking to earn their first win since the opening day of the season having picked up five draws and a defeat in the last six matches.
Eddie Howe’s side have been hampered be injuries as of late but could be boosted by the return of at least one key player. Callum Wilson has taken part in full training for the last 10 days and therefore could make his first appearance since the 3-3 draw with Manchester City in August.
One area of the field Howe has been able to stick with a settled selection at the back, starting with Nick Pope in goal. Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar, Sven Botman and Matt Targett has been his defence of choice, though Sven Botman will continue to push for a start.

In midfield, Joe Willock and Joelinton are likely to keep their places, though Bruno Guimaraes could also be available despite fitness issues on international duty with Brazil. Elliott Anderson is also expected to be fit again, while Sean Longstaff provides another option in holding midfield.
Attack is where Newcastle have been affected most by injuries, and Alexander Isak’s leg problem picked up on international duty is another frustrating blow. For that reason, Wilson’s likely return to the squad is a timely boost and Allan Saint-Maximin could also be involved too, with Howe set to make a late call on his availability.
