Seidler family exploring potential sale of San Diego Padres

The San Diego Padres baseball team could soon be under new ownership, as the family of its late proprietor, Peter Seidler, has announced it is exploring a sale of the franchise.

The club confirmed the decision on Thursday, appointing BDT & MSD Partners to advise on the process. The firm previously counselled the NBA's Boston Celtics and MLB's Chicago White Sox on similar discussions.
