Scotland's most popular Instagram beauty spots have been revealed in research undertaken by My Voyage Scotland.
My Voyage Scotland, a popular Scottish travel guide website, analysed Instagram hashtags for over fifty beauty spots to find the country's most Instagrammed locations.
Of the ten named, Glen Coe in the Scottish Highlands came first with over half a million hashtags on the social media platform.
While Glen Coe is an extremely important historical location, it has gained a lot of recent popularity because of the James Bond and Harry Potter movie franchises.
A My Voyage Scotland spokesperson said: “Scotland is known around the world for its stunning natural landscapes that offer tourists and locals alike picturesque views all year round.
"This study offers a fascinating insight into the locations that are more favourable on social media."
They added: "What is interesting about the findings is that the top ten are a mix of iconic Scottish landmarks as well as lesser-known hidden gems.”
My Voyage Scotland is largely run by Graham Grieve, a writer, and traveler who has journeyed the length and breadth of Scotland for the last 25 years.
