It’s customary for first-round selections in the New York/New Jersey area to throw out first pitches for the New York Yankees or New York Mets. And on Sunday evening, that’s exactly what New York Giants rookie Kayvon Thibodeaux did.
Thibodeaux was on hand for the night cap of a back-to-back double-header between the Yankees and Chicago White Sox. And although his ceremonial first pitch was a bit high and inside, Thibs certainly brought a whole lot of swag to the event.

Unfortunately for both Thibodeaux and the Yankees, his presence didn’t bring any luck. The Bronx Bombers lost Game 1 by a score of 3-1 and later lost Game 2 by a score of 5-0. With the losses, the Yanks dropped to 29-12 on the season.
