The accolades for former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning keep coning, even if they are small in stature.
This week, the media was permitted to enter the player’s locker room for the first time since the end of the 2019 season, kept out all this time by COVID-19 restrictions.
Reporters noticed that above the locker of defensive lineman Nick Williams was a small gold plaque honoring Manning, who had used that locker for many years before.

Manning retired after the 2019 season after 16 years with the Giants in which he led them to two Super Bowl championships. He is eligible for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2025. The two-time Super Bowl MVP finished his career in the top 10 in passing yards, completions and passing touchdowns.
