Among relatively new listings on the stock exchange, Securitize (SECZ) seems interesting. The reason being the claim of being the first publicly listed tokenization platform. As a pure-play tokenization firm, Securitize seems to be grabbing investor attention.
At the same time, some initial business developments are positive. On Oct. 8, the company announced that it was launching blockchain-based tokenized stock trading. This brings the “most widely held U.S. equities onchain for eligible investors in the United States, European Union (EU), and other permitted jurisdictions worldwide.” It’s important to note that the tokekenization platform's securitized stocks are backed 1:1 by underlying shares. With security entitlements to shares of Apple (AAPL), Tesla (TSLA), Alphabet (GOOG) (GOOGL), Amazon (AMZN), and many others, the tokenization effort is likely to support the company’s growth.
