A section of Newcastle United supporters were disappointed not to see Anthony Gordon start at Brentford. The January arrival had to settle for a place on the bench, despite Allan Saint-Maximin's absence.
The French winger was rested and not named in the squad for the clash with the Bees while Callum Wilson dropped to the bench. It meant Joelinton was pushed further upfield with Joe Willock coming into central midfield.
Eddie Howe's side are looking to make it four wins on the bounce taking on a Brentford side that are surprise European contenders themselves.
