Three U.S. Secret Service officials, including communications director Anthony Guglielmi, have been placed on administrative leave amid an internal investigation into potential misconduct, CNN reported Tuesday.

A source familiar with the decision told CNN that all three officials work in the agency's communications office and have had their security clearances suspended and access to work devices revoked, standard measures during internal investigations.
