A second man is in custody and two others remain on the run following the stabbing death of Levi Johnson after he was ambushed in a Brisbane car park earlier this week.
Mr Johnson, 23, was stabbed multiple times after his car was cut off in the driveway of a Mansfield gym and four men smashed their way into his car with a crowbar before two of them chased him across the road.
Police investigating the killing conducted two raids last night in the suburbs of Ransome and Birkdale and raided another house in Birkdale this morning, taking a 34-year-old man into custody.
Brisbane regional crime coordinator Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham said the man was being questioned.
Police said they are still looking for Kyle Martin, 24, and Thomas Myler, 35, who could both be armed and dangerous.
"We make an appeal to them to hand themselves in to the nearest police station," Detective Superintendent Massingham said.
"More importantly any member of the public that does have information about the whereabouts of these individuals contact Police Link or if they want to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers.
"We believe they may still be in the Capalaba, Birkdale or Ransome areas."
Detective Superintendent Massingham said media coverage had helped in locating the men.
"Two members of the public have come forward … they have dashcam video shortly before the fatal stabbing and the actual commission of the crime," he said.
"It's horrific, it's confronting, it's very difficult to watch."
'Items of forensic significance found'
At the Ransome property, police found items of "forensic significance" to the investigation as well as evidence that Mr Myler had shaved his head at the property.
At one of the Birkdale properties, police found components of a weapon. Police are investigating whether this is related to a previous conflict.
Detective Superintendent Massingham said the weapon used in Mr Johnson's killing had not been located and a motive was still unknown, but the four men had been keeping tabs on the victim before the incident.
"We have evidence to place them [in the Carindale area] making certain observations of the victim," he said.
Those involved in the incident claimed to have links to the "13 Kings" group.
"The credibility of those claims are still being investigated and any claims that that club is linked to any other outlaw motorcycle gang in supposition only," he said.
"There's some suggestion that this club [13 Kings] may be a feeder group. That's a line of enquiry that we are exploring. At this stage the link has not been established."
Detective Superintendent Massingham said the "13 Kings" group had a clubhouse in the Capalaba area, east of Brisbane.
He said the two men on the run were a risk to public safety.
"This offence is horrifically violent and the way in which it was conducted is unthinkable," he said.
"It is in the interests of public safety that these two persons are brought into custody as soon as possible.
"There is the potential for both of them to be armed and also dangerous. That is our concern."
Extra police have been deployed in Ransome, Birkdale and Capalaba.
