Police have confirmed that a second person died at this year's Download Festival. It was reported earlier this week that a man who had to be seen by emergency services during the Iron Maiden set on Saturday, June 11 had been taken to hospital but later died.
Police confirmed on Tuesday, June 14 that officers were alerted to another man at 12.48pm on Saturday, June 11. It was thought the festival-goer was suffering a cardiac arrest, Leicestershire Live reports.
The man, who has not been identified, was given emergency medical treatment at the scene before being transferred to an onsite medical centre. He was pronounced dead shortly afterwards, police said.
