A missing schoolgirl has been found following a police investigation, with officers issuing a public plea for information.
Sinead Venables, 14, had disappeared from the Culross area of Fife at around 5pm on Monday, January 17.
Officers looking for Sinead were said to have been 'growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.''
Fife Police Division released a statement and two images of Sinead on Monday night, urging anyone with information to get in touch.
However, the force have since confirmed that the 14-year-old has been traced safe and well on their Facebook page.
They wrote: "Police in Fife are happy to report that Sinead Venables, reported missing earlier today, has been traced safe and well.
"Thank you to everyone who shared the appeal."
