An elderly man who went missing from his home in County Durham has been found.
Officers from Durham Constabulary issued an urgent appeal to the public after reports that John Davidson, aged 86, went missing from his home in Ouston, Chester-le-Street on Thursday.
The missing pensioner, who was described as "vulnerable", had last been seen by his family at lunchtime on Thursday with officers later issuing an image of John in the hope that he could be located.

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said at the time: "We urgently need help to find John Davidson, who has gone missing from his home in Ouston, Chester-le-Street. The 86-year-old, who is vulnerable, who was last seen by his family at lunchtime today."
Members of the public who thought they may have spotted John were asked to contact the force - and after hours of searching, Durham Constabulary confirmed on Thursday afternoon that he had been found "safe and well".
