Search for missing man with dementia last seen in north Manchester

UPDATE: Police said David has now been found safe and well and is with his family.

Police are becoming increasingly concerned about a missing man last seen in Blackley on Monday afternoon (June 6). David, who's surname is not known, was last seen walking towards Middleton.

The 77-year-old, from Littleborough, was spotted walking on Rochdale Road, walking past the Texaco petrol station at around 3.45pm on Monday. He had been visiting North Manchester General Hospital but had become agitated and then walked off, police said.

Police have said enquiries have suggested he was trying to make his way back to Littleborough but may have become confused due to his dementia. They added they are becoming 'increasingly concerned' as they now appeal to the public for help.
