The search has finally concluded at a house in Stockport - almost a week after homes were evacuated and police said they had uncovered 'hazardous materials'.
A major incident was declared as a scene was put in place around Middleton Road in Reddish and neighbouring streets. Officers began the search of a house.
A property continued to be searched as hazardous materials had to be removed and disposed of in a 'controlled' and 'isolated' location, GMP said.

50-year-old David Prior was later charged with making an explosive substance for unlawful purpose contrary to the section 4 Explosive substance Act 1883. He has been remanded in custody until his next appearance at Manchester Magistrates tomorrow (June 8).
In the latest update on Wednesday (June 7), Greater Manchester Police announced that the search of the property had concluded and the police presence had left the area - six days after they were initially called to the scene.
A spokesperson for the force said: "The search of the property at Middleton Road concluded this afternoon (7 June 2023). The scene has now been closed and the police presence in the area has been withdrawn.
"GMP would once again like to thank affected residents for their patience and understanding throughout the policing response."
