Seann Walsh's ex Rebecca Humphries says Katya Jones kiss is 'etched in my memory'

Rebecca Humphries has admitted that her ex-boyfriend Seann Walsh's illicit kiss with Katya Jones is "etched" in her memory forever.

Rebecca was left heartbroken back in 2018 when photos emerged of Seann and his Strictly Come Dancing partner puckering up on a London street after enjoying some drinks together.

The kiss occurred on Rebecca's birthday as she sat at home waiting for her boyfriend Seann to return.

During an appearance on Friday's Lorraine, Rebecca told host Lorraine Kelly that it was all very 'overwhelming'.

"It felt like a bizarre stress dream that I was having," she admitted as she promoted her new book 'Why Did You Stay? A Memoir about Self-worth'.

"It's completely overwhelming. I've been obsessed with tele and magazines since I was about 12 and suddenly there I am in them all!

"But one thing I will say about that time is all of that support was just like one validation after another.

"'You are not crazy. You are not the things that you've let yourself believe for years that you are. In fact, about that particular situation, you were right'. And honestly all of that just flooded me," Rebecca added.

Lorraine then commented: "We should remember that that was actually on your birthday that that happened, which just horrendous, I mean it's horrendous anyway but come on!"

Laughing, Rebecca replied: "Yeah it's sort of etched in my memory, you know!" as Lorraine commented: "Of course it is."

On the lessons she’s learned since the relationship ended, Rebecca explained: "We’ve been conditioned by pop culture to believe that love and having a partner, getting married, having children is the most important thing in our life, and when we have it we have to cling on to it at all costs.

“Before I got into this relationship, I would’ve self identified as someone who was confident, smart, sassy, sexy.

"I see it all the time, these fabulous women who dim themselves and who allow their shine and their sparkle to be taken away from them to keep these relationships alive that [are] hurting them."

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV and ITV Hub.
