A man has been charged with conspiring to possess two firearms and to cause grievous bodily harm after being arrested over alleged communications on an Encrochat device.
Sean Zeisz, 27, is accused of conspiring with unnamed others to cause GBH to a Jamie Nee on April 10, 2020, in Longreach Road, Huyton. He is also accused of conspiring to possess a .38 calibre revolver and a Skorpion self-loading pistol on the same date in the same location.
Zeisz, formerly of Huyton but now remanded in HMP Wakefield, also faces charges of conspiracy to supply heroin, cocaine, cannabis resin and ketamine between January 1 and June 12, 2020. Zeisz was due to appear in Liverpool Crown Court today via video-link from HMP Wakefield, but the hearing was postponed due to issues with prison staff.

Judge Gary Woodhall said the court had received an email from the prison stating a "lack of staffing" meant no prison officers were available to escort Zeisz from his wing to the video-link booth. The court heard Zeisz was also unrepresented in court due to the barristers' strikes.
Judge Woodhall adjourned the hearing and said the court would attempt to establish the link again tomorrow. The court set a provisional trial date of February 13 next year.
