Sean McVay had an absolutely priceless reaction to the Patriots’ first-round pick

No one saw the New England Patriots’ first-round pick coming — not even folks around the NFL. When Bill Belichick and company selected Chattanooga guard Cole Strange, the Patriots shocked fans and media members. But New England also stunned coaches and executives.

We got to witness the live reaction of Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead. And it was absolutely hilarious. They couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

“Strange just went!” McVay said, interrupting a press conference.

“U-T Chattanooga to the first round!” Snead yelled.

“How about that? And we wasted our time watching him thinking he’d be at 104,” McVay said.

That’s awesome stuff.

Belichick pulled a wild move, taking a player that just about everyone considered a likely second or third-round pick. Strange is likely to start at left guard for New England.
