Everton manager Sean Dyche admits that Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains a major fitness doubt for the Merseyside derby against Liverpool on Monday.
Calvert-Lewin was substituted for Neal Maupay after an hour of Everton’s 1-0 win over Arsenal last weekend.
After the game Dyche revealed that the centre-forward had been struggling with a hamstring problem and was set to undergo a precautionary scan to assess his condition.

Asked in his press conference today about the player’s chances of being fit at Anfield, Dyche said: “We’re still monitoring him. It will be touch and go at best I think for the Liverpool game so we’ll just have to monitor it and hope that it settles down sooner rather than later.
“He’s had a couple of niggly injuries which you know, getting on top of them, getting his body to adapt, and all those things for the longer term obviously.
"He put a real shift in, his stats were very good in the last game and unfortunately he’s got a niggly hamstring and we’ve got to get on top of it as quick as we can.”
Asked about any other fresh injuries in the squad, Dyche added: "We're ok at the minute. A few knocks and bruises. I think [Calvert-Lewin] is the most prominent figure who is touch and go at best."
