Seamus Coleman will be assessed after sustaining an injury in Everton’s 2-0 defeat at Manchester United.
The club captain was brought off in the final minutes of the game, leaving the pitch while holding his right leg. Sean Dyche later said his medical staff were unsure whether Coleman had a knock or a strain, but that his withdrawal was injury-related.
The Everton boss also explained Dominic Calvert-Lewin is “making progress” in his recovery from injury. The Blues released pictures of the striker training with the first team this week but he was not involved in the matchday squad against United.

Coleman was withdrawn just before the end of the match, providing Nathan Patterson with his first minutes under Dyche, who said: “We have to be careful because he has got a knock and we are not sure whether it is a slight strain or a knock. We will find out more over the next couple of days.”
Coleman was one of five changes made over the course of the game by Dyche, who tends not to make a lot of substitutions. He confirmed none of the other changes - which saw Ben Godfrey, Idrissa Gueye, Amadou Onana and Ellis Simms removed - were injury related.
Everton, who have slipped to 17th after results elsewhere this afternoon, return to action next Saturday at home to Fulham.
