Sean Dyche and Leicester star agree on major reason Arsenal are top of Premier League table

Arsenal find themselves top of the Premier League standings, five points clear of second-placed Manchester City going into this weekend's fixtures.

The Gunners welcome Bournemouth to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon and the Cherries have been warned what to expect by Everton boss Sean Dyche. Speaking after the Toffees lost 4-0 in N5 on Wednesday night, Dyche said: "One thing I noticed with Arsenal tonight and I've seen Man City do it as well, they keep a clean sheet and they are throwing bodies to keep a clean sheet.

"Alex Iwobi running down the right and there are four bodies around him, that's when you're super confident. When players are playing with freedom - not just attacking, everyone sees attacking but as a manager you see the defensive side of it in transition, the hard work that teams are putting in.

"Man City have done that for years, we can all talk about their passing it is amazing at times but trust me if the ball turns over at Man City they are after you, they shut you down very very quickly, their habits are good and I think Arsenal showed that in the second half in particular that their habits were good."

That kind of defensive effort has seen Arsenal concede the second-least goals in the English top-flight this season, with only Newcastle United bettering them in that department. And Dyche isn't the only one to recognise how committed the Gunners are to keeping as many clean sheets as possible.

In fact, after the Gunners beat Leicester City 1-0 last weekend, midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was quick to point out the north Londoners' dedication to track back. "They all work hard for each other, that's the reason why they're top of the league", he said after the full-time whistle at the King Power.

"A couple of times we were on the counter, we looked up and just saw a sea of red back in their defensive period so credit to them."
