Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ first post from behind bars as he awaits trial for sex trafficking charges

Sean “Diddy” Combs has posted on Instagram for the first time as he awaits trial on sex trafficking charges.

The disgraced hip-hop mogul, 54, brushed off his legal troubles to wish two-year-old daughter Love a happy birthday.

Sharing photos of the toddler in a white dress tucking into cake and one of him laughing while they play in the ocean, he wrote: “Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you!

“Happy Birthday baby Love! Happy Birthday to you!! Happy Birthday @loveseancombs daddy loves you.”

Dana Tran, Love’s mother and Combs’ ex-girlfriend, added: “2 years of life and love.”

Combs is being held in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre having pleaded not guilty to racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges.

Prosecutors allege he coerced and abused women for years with help from a network of associates and employees while silencing victims through blackmail and violence, including kidnapping, arson and physical beatings.

On Monday, he faced new allegations of rape, sexual abuse and sexual assault after a series of fresh lawsuits were filed in a New York federal court.

Two women and four men have listed allegations that span from 1995 to 2021, with some said to have happened at Combs’ parties which were attended by major celebrities and music artists.

Lawyers for the star denied this saying in a statement that he “has never sexually assaulted anyone - adult or minor, man or woman”.

Combs’ legal team have been trying unsuccessfully to get the Bad Boy Records founder freed on bail.

Two judges concluded Combs would be a danger to the community if he is released from the MDC, a facility that has been plagued by violence and dysfunction for years.

At a hearing last month, the court rejected a $50 million (£38.4m) bail package, including home detention and electronic monitoring, saying Combs was a threat to witnesses and would obstruct a continuing investigation.
