Renowned music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs is once again embroiled in legal issues concerning sex crimes, as reported by the Associated Press. Combs has been named as a co-defendant in a new lawsuit that accuses his son, rapper Christian 'King' Combs, of sexual assault.
The lawsuit was filed by Grace O'Marcaigh, who alleges that Christian Combs assaulted her on a luxury superyacht chartered by his father in December 2022. The incident took place on the 278-foot Victorious superyacht, which can be chartered for $950,000 a week during the winter season as it cruises the Caribbean and The Bahamas.
O'Marcaigh, who worked as a steward in the yachting industry since 2018, claimed that her career aspirations in hospitality were derailed due to the trauma she experienced from the alleged assault. The lawsuit accuses the defendants of various charges, including assault, battery, sexual assault, premises liability, and emotional distress.
According to the lawsuit, Christian Combs, then 24 years old, allegedly assaulted O'Marcaigh while she was serving him on the yacht. The suit claims that he became aggressive, physically hurt her, and then proceeded to drug and sexually assault her. An audio recording of the incident was reportedly obtained by producer Rodney Jones, and a transcript included in the lawsuit details O'Marcaigh's attempts to resist Christian Combs' advances.
The lawsuit also implicates Sean Combs for allegedly failing to ensure a safe environment on the yacht and allowing his son to behave recklessly. These allegations come amidst a series of sexual misconduct claims against Sean Combs.
The legal representatives for Sean and Christian Combs have dismissed the lawsuit as baseless and indicated their intention to file a motion to dismiss the claims. The case is currently being heard in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
