Seal filmed climbing ladder on River Clyde in Glasgow by passerby

This is the moment a Scots comedian captured footage of a seal climbing a ladder on the River Clyde earlier this week.

Kevin Brannigan, 36, from Barrowfield, in Glasgow was sun bathing at Glasgow Green on Tuesday, June 13, when he noticed the seal in the water.

Kevin's footage captured the seal under the red tidal Weir Bridge on the river.

The seal can be seen bobbing its head out of the water and then clambers over the ladders on a wall. It eventually dips over into the other side of the river and out of sight.

Kevin was taking time out at the riverside to prepare for an upcoming show at the Edinburgh Fringe when he spotted the marine mammal in the city.

Speaking to the Record, he explained: "I went a walk to a secluded spot by the Clyde to get some time out and prepare for my show at the Edinburgh Fringe in August. My grandad has been unwell recently too so I just need to get away from everything for a while.

"I was standing looking out onto the river when I heard a sound and looked over and seen the seal, confident as you like, ambling up the ladder. I’m never out the Glasgow Green but I’ve never seen anything like that in my life."
