The uniform matchup for the Seattle Seahawks’ Week 14 rematch with the Arizona Cardinals has been set, and I am not thrilled at the decisions made. The Seahawks will once again wear their most “cursed” uniform combination of white jersey/gray pants for their trip to the desert this weekend.
Seattle is 4-10 all-time in this particular combo, which is (as you may have guessed) my least favorite option. As for the Cardinals, they will be busting out their all-black alternate. This will mark the second-straight week the Seahawks will play an opponent dressed in all-black.

Interestingly, this combo is the very first worn by the Seahawks when they got their current wardrobe from the Nike uniform reboot. Not only was it the first, they debuted the look against the Cardinals in Arizona. Sadly, that game did not go Seattle’s way, as they fell 20-16 in the 2012 season debut. The Seahawks have not worn this combo in Arizona since that game.
While I am obviously not bullish on this combo, one of Seattle’s four wins in these threads did come this year in Week 7, as they defeated the Atlanta Falcons…. who were also wearing all-black.
Perhaps a little luck can carry over as the Seahawks face their next bird-themed team wearing black and red in a domed stadium starting with the letter A.
