The Seahawks blew a 13-point lead in their loss to the Rams yesterday and for an encore they sustained some significant injuries, too.
Here’s what head coach Pete Carroll shared about a few players when he spoke with the media via Zoom earlier today.
QB Geno Smith
The biggest injury Seattle suffered was of course the elbow issue that sidelined Geno Smith for a few drives and forced Drew Lock to take over the offense. Smith later returned for the final drive, which is a good sign but he still has an uncertain status heading into the short week. According to Carroll, Smith has a tricep issue and has a great chance to play Thursday.
On Geno Smith, who's dealing with what Pete Carroll says is a tricep injury, "We really think he’s got a great chance to make it back” and play against the 49ers on Thursday.

RB Ken Walker
The other major injury of the day was for starting running back Ken Walker, who left in the first half with an oblique strain after he slipped and fell during a run. Carroll says he’s not a candidate to go on injured reserve.
Pete Carroll on if Kenneth Walker III is a candidate to go on IR: "Not at this point, no. We need to learn more."

S Jerrick Reed II
Rookie safety Jerrick Reed also had to leave the game with a knee injury. The prognosis is not as good in this case. Carroll says he’s going to miss some time. Reed has been a core special teams contributor.
Pete Carroll on Jerrick Reed: "He definitely hurt his knee. He’s going to miss time." Said more details will come later in the week, but not encouraging news for the rookie who has been a special teams standout.

SS Jamal Adams
Strong safety Jamal Adams was held out of Sunday’s game due to a knee injury. Carroll isn’t sure if he’ll be able to play against the 49ers on Thanksgiving, and they’re hoping the next couple of days will help.
Pete says they're “hoping these next couple days will really help" Jamal Adams (knee) get back after missing Sunday's game. Jamal "wasn’t able to move like he needs to," which is why he didn't play against the Rams. Unclear at this point whether he'll play vs. SF.
