The Seahawks may have traded for Sam Howell, but apparently they’re not done looking at quarterbacks ahead of the 2024 NFL draft.
According to Pete Nakos at On3, the team is hosting former Ole Miss and UCF quarterback John Rhys Plumlee for an official top-30 visit.

Plumlee (6-foot-0, 200 pounds) played his first three college seasons at Mississippi, appearing in 29 games. In 2022 he transferred to UCF and was elevated to a starting role. In 23 games there he posted nearly 5,000 passing yards, 29 touchdowns, 16 interceptions and a 141.3 rating.
While his passing numbers don’t exactly scream NFL future, Plumlee is undeniably an excellent rushing quarterback. All together he had 453 carries in college, totaling over 2,500 yards and 28 touchdowns.
Here’s a look at some of his highlights from Ole Miss.
And here’s some from UCF.
Plumlee was not invited to the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, so we don’t have measurables as of yet. He will participate in the inaugural Big 12 Pro Day next week, though. Plumlee is generally ranked near the bottom of this quarterback class, which gives him a late Day 3 or UDFA projection.
