Teams continue to pick apart the Los Angeles Rams’ coaching staff, including their rivals up north. According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the Seattle Seahawks are hiring Jake Peetz as their pass game coordinator.
Peetz was an offensive assistant for the Rams in 2022 and then their pass game specialist in 2023, but he’s getting a promotion from Seattle as the pass game coordinator. The Rams could not block this hire despite the titles being similar because it technically isn’t a lateral move.
Peetz is a rising assistant coach in the NFL and was a candidate to become the Buccaneers’ offensive coordinator this offseason before Liam Coen was hired. Prior to joining the Rams, he was LSU’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2021.
He also had previous stints with the Jaguars, Alabama, Redskins, Raiders and Panthers.
