The Seahawks trade of Russell Wilson to the Broncos last year was nothing short of an earth-shattering move at the time. The blockbuster deal was thought to be a league-shifting event but it didn’t exactly turn out that way. Denver had a down year while Seattle was a surprise to many and made the wild-card game.
Wilson moving states didn’t hurt his relationship with one former teammate it appears. One of Wilson’s favorite targets in Seattle, wide receiver DK Metcalf, says the two talk regularly to this day.
“Probably every day,” Metcalf told NFL Network’s Taylor Bisciotti at the Gatorade Player of the Year Awards when asked whether he and Wilson still talk.

When the two do talk, it’s rarely about football, though.
“We really don’t talk much competition,” Metcalf said. “It’s more checking in with the family, checking in how each other’s doing.”
It’s good to know the two keep a healthy relationship. After all, it’s possible the two could be teammates again down the road.
