The Seattle Seahawks made a big move before the trade deadline, acquiring New York Giants defensive lineman Leonard Williams. Seattle needed to bolster their interior defensive line, and they did so in a big way with Williams.
Literally.
Williams is an absolute mammoth of a human being who has made quite the career of doing the dirty work in the trenches. He eats up blocks so other defenders can thrive, and he’s able to do so with his freakish size. Something his new defensive coordinator commented on recently:
Clint Hurtt on 6-5 Leonard Williams new to the #Seahawks’ defensive line and his unique length at tackle: “35-inch arms. I mean, he can tie his shoes without bending over.” @thenewstribune pic.twitter.com/WQhVLn4kJn

The Seahawks will absolutely need Williams’ size and ability to defend the run tomorrow in Baltimore. The Ravens are lead the NFL with 24-straight games rushing for at least 100 yards. Slowing down Baltimore’s ground game will be paramount.
Quite the first assignment for Williams.
