Scunthorpe United interim boss Tony Daws has stepped down from his position ahead of Notts County's trip to Glanford Park.
Following the sacking of Keith Hill in September, the former Magpies striker took over the position for a second time, but has now chosen to return to his role as academy manager.
A statement was released on the club's official website on Monday afternoon, just five days before Luke Williams' side travel to Lincolnshire this weekend.

Saturday's opponents are enduring a difficult start to the National League season, currently staring back-to-back relegations in the face after falling to the fifth-tier last campaign.
Daws managed just two wins during his time as the first-team manager, with only goal difference ensuring they remain off the foot of the table.
In the statement, Daws placed on record his thanks for the opportunity to take charge of the club during a difficult period for the Iron.
"I'd like to thank the owners for giving me the opportunity, the players for their efforts, all the club staff for their help and the fans for their support over the last three months.
"Lee Turnbull has been brilliant to me throughout too, giving me such good support."
Former Scunthorpe defender Michael Nelson will assume the interim first team manager role until further notice with his first game against Notts, with support from Paul Musselwhite and Lee Turnbull.
