The cast of Scrubs had a reunion this weekend, but one of the main stars almost didn't make it.
Actress Sarah Chalke, 45, has opened up about the ordeal she faced while making her way to the get together and revealed she never realised she was claustrophobic until the incident.
The star admitted her fear after getting stuck in an elevator at the ATX TV Festival in Austin on Saturday.
She told an adoring crowd at the reunion on Sunday she was trapped for about five minutes. She said: "I was getting on the elevator to go meet everybody thinking, ‘What an uneventful journey, I do not have a travel story,’ and I got in elevator and I got stuck in it."
She revealed she had a "little panic attack" and didn't know what to do to get out so decided to FaceTime her co-stars Zach Braff and Donald Faison.
"I was like, ‘I’m stuck in the elevator, get me out of here, I do not think I will do well in this situation,'" she continued.
"So Zach’s like, ‘OK, what elevator are you in? I’m like, ‘I don’t know!'
“So I start pushing the buttons and all of a sudden all the buttons are lighting up. Then I find the button to call the front desk and she says, ‘You’re stuck on floor 11?’ The elevator only goes to five! What is happening right now?”
When nudged by her cast mates to open up further on how they tried to get her to calm down, she added: "I really needed to calm down, I didn’t realise I was claustrophobic until that moment.
"I had a little panic attack and needed to get back into the podcast I was listening to … Dax Shepard’s podcast. We were out at dinner and Zach was like, ‘You were listening to my doppelgänger?'
Zach the interrupted and joked: "Of all the f***ing podcasts in the world, she calms down by listening to Dax Shepard’s podcast."
Co-star John C McGinley had previously told Page Six Sarah is "notorious for adventures" but described her as "the single loveliest person on the planet".
During the reunion, the cast hinted that they could all be seen on-screen again together in the future.
Donald, who starred as Turk on the hit hospital drama, explained: "Here’s the deal: I think we all want a reboot and want to work together again but it couldn’t be a full season. Maybe like a movie or something we could shoot in a few months."
